Conrad is grieving the loss of his wife on The Resident Season 5, Episode 4. He goes down a rabbit hole of figuring out what happened.
The previous episode was heartbreakingly beautiful. Conrad fought to bring his wife back to him, but in the end, there was nothing anyone could do. Conrad had to think for Nic, knowing she’d never want to be hooked up to machines forever. Instead, he chose to have her organs donated, knowing that’s exactly what she would want.
That doesn’t mean he’s over the loss. We now get to see him go through the grieving process. He has his friends by him, but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to hear what they have to say.
Conrad needs to figure out what happened. Nic’s death was weird. It was a single-vehicle accident with no inclement weather. She hadn’t been drinking. Nobody knows what happened, and Conrad is going to focus on that.
The Raptor has a run-in with police on The Resident Season 5, Episode 4
Meanwhile, The Raptor has a situation of his own. He’ll have a run-in with the police. The synopsis tells us that it will have a “surprising turn.” Is there going to be some racial profiling involved? A lot of TV shows are going with these storylines to raise awareness of just how often it happens. To see someone we love like The Raptor go through racial profiling will be major.
But is it that “surprising” considering we know it happens. Could The Raptor think that’s what will happen only to find out something else is going on?
Then we have Leela who is going to deal with a situation with a surgeon. This surgeon is Bell’s mentor, but Leela is concerned. Could the mentor be no longer fit to operate? We’d seen Bell have problems at the very beginning of the series and the show hasn’t touched on it since. Is now the time to focus on when surgeons need to learn to retire?
