Season premiere.

The first season is expected to include 10 episodes, with new episodes airing every Sunday night on Showtime.

Leading up to the Dexter: New Blood premiere, Michael C. Hall discussed Dexter‘s divisive ending and why they were revisiting the character. As reported by Indie Wire, the actor shared the following at a panel during the Television Critics Association Summer 2021 Press Tour:

“I think the way the series proper ended has a great deal to do with why we’re revisiting the show and the character. The show did not end in a way that was definitive for people or gave them a sense of closure. We didn’t hear from Dexter. He didn’t say anything to us when the show ended, and I think it left audiences in a state of suspended animation. A big part of our motivation was to definitively answer the question of what happened to this guy.”

Fans of Dexter are no doubt counting down the hours until the revival premieres on live TV. Be sure to check back in with us at Hidden Remote for our full Dexter: New Blood coverage.
