You Season 4 is definitely happening. The renewal happened ahead of the Season 3 release. There’s a wait on our hands for it, though.
It’s not often that Netflix renews shows ahead of new seasons releasing. However, You is so popular that Netflix just couldn’t hold it in. We got to know about the fourth season days ahead of the third season arriving on Netflix.
That means we’re now looking at when the season will arrive and not if. We’ve double-checked the list of November releases on Netflix but You Season 4 is definitely not on there.
If we’re honest, this isn’t surprising. The third season only just came out in October. We’re not really expecting the season for some time.
You Season 4 release date predictions
When could we see You Season 4 arrive? It usually takes 14 to 18 months for Netflix shows between seasons. This would mean December 2022 at the earliest, although it’s been much longer recently due to the pandemic.
The early renewal could help to keep the wait to a minimum. It means writing can happen right away instead of waiting two months for Netflix to make a decision. With writing happening right away, it means that filming and then post-production can happen sooner.
It is possible for Netflix to bring another season of You by the end of 2022. We could even expect it around October 2022 thanks to the early renewal.
Of course, filming hasn’t started just yet. We’re sure to find out when it does because showrunner Sera Gamble shares updates on social media a lot. We’ll be sure to keep an eye on what’s happening so we get an idea as to when the season could arrive on Netflix.
