There’s a lot happening in the world of Station 19, but will we get to see more of the drama unfold tonight? What’s going on with the schedule?
It’s Thursday, and that should mean the TGIT schedule is in full swing, right? There isn’t a new episode of Station 19 (or any of the TGIT lineup) tonight, and that’s probably not all too surprising.
It’s all about Thanksgiving today. There’s no way a network is silly enough to put on a new episode of a scripted show. The CW once attempted it and it was a huge failure. So, other networks aren’t going to attempt it.
There isn’t going to be a rerun on tonight, either. There is nothing TGIT related on this week.
Why isn’t a new episode of Station 19 on tonight?
As mentioned, it’s Thanksgiving. However, this upcoming hiatus is one that seems to be twofold. The hiatus is actually going to be three weeks long. If it was just for Thanksgiving, we’d see a new episode next week.
This suggests that the show needs a little extra time to film new episodes. Or it could be a delay in post-production. Either way, the show just needs a little more time.
When does Station 19 return with new episodes?
We could be coming up to the last episode of 2021. The new episode will air on Thursday, Dec. 9, kicking off another TGIT night. We already have a promo for that episode, and things are certainly sparking up.
Ben and Bailey will have to decide whether they will fight to keep Pru or not. Miller’s parents want to look after her. That’s understandable considering Pru is family, but Miller wanted Ben and Bailey to look after his daughter if something happened to him. Shouldn’t everyone respect Miller’s wishes? This is surely a storyline that will head to court, but where will Pru end up going?
We’ll also see Andy and Sullivan have to work together again. There’s a sub at Station 23, and that sub is Sullivan. You’d have thought someone would have looked at that and decided against it, wouldn’t you?
Station 19 airs Thursdays at 8/7c on ABC with episodes heading to Hulu the day after.
