A new Apple TV+ series is headed our way! And with the star-studded cast of Mrs. American Pie, this is a show we definitely want to tune into.
Singer and actor Ricky Martin is set to play the lead, Robert. He will be joined by actresses Kristen Wiig, Alison Janney, and Laura Dern. The actress also serves an an executive producer on the series. It’s thanks to her and producing partner Jayme Lemons that the show will be coming to life. Abe Sylvia is showrunner, writer, and executive producer.

What is Apple TV+’s Mrs. American Pie about?
The show is inspired by the 2018 novel, Mr. & Mrs. American Pie, by author Juliet McDaniel. It will dive into the various lives of a wealthy and prestigious group living in Palm Beach. Female lead character Maxine Simmons, played by Wiig, is attempting to secure her seat with Palm Beach high society. But it will take more than desire to fit in with this group.
Deadline reports the show is set in the early 1970s and will ask: who gets a seat at the table, how do you get a seat at the table, and what will you sacrifice to get there? We’ll find out those answers in the 10-episode comedy when it’s available on the streaming service!
There’s no premiere date yet as the show is still in the pre-production stages. But so far it sounds very interesting! These high society exclusive groups always manage to pique people’s interests because they’re so secretive. So it will be interesting to follow this story and whether Maxine earns a spot.
