There were lots of emotions and all kinds of feels in last night’s This Is Us episode. You know, the usual for the NBC drama series.
The season 6 finale saw Rebecca’s funeral, how Kate, Randall, and Kevin are holding up on the day of their mother’s funeral, some lovely Pearson family moments on a regular Saturday when the Big Three were kids, and much more.
Instead of giving us something grand or a surprise twist, the season 6 finale took the time to showcase the importance of the everyday family moments. We also see that after a loved one passes, life does continue.
Kate is going to open up more music schools for visually impaired kids, Kevin is going to focus on his nonprofit and being home more, and Randall might become president of the United States. But, as the lovely Déja tells her father, it’s not pointless.

Will there be a season 7 of This Is Us?
This Is Us will not be coming back for a seventh season. But it’s not because the show was cancelled. In May of last year, it was announced the series was renewed for a sixth and final season. Don’t worry though! This is how series creator Dan Fogelman had it planned. He had a six-season roadmap.
We wish the show could go on forever. There’s certainly more story to tell. The Big Three, of course, are still around and will continue to do great things. And we’ve got a new generation with their kids (and even grandkids!). But as Fogelman told Deadline, this story was really about the beginning, middle, and end of Jack and Rebecca’s journey. And the creator was able to share what he wanted. We’re so lucky this mastermind brought such a great show to our lives!
Overall I enjoyed the series finale. It was an emotional goodbye to the beloved show, as well as the characters we all love.
