The Bachelor Season 26 is officially happening at ABC. Now all eyes are on when it will arrive. Will the premiere air in 2021?
ABC has been quiet about the flagship Bachelor Nation series, but we now know that it is definitely happening. We have the lead of the series, the female contestants, and now the host of the new season.
Chris Harrison is out. Originally, he stepped down temporarily due to the controversy surrounding but that temporary change became a permanent one. The Bachelorette has former Bachelorettes co-hosting, and it has worked out well. Unsurprisingly, the flagship series will have a former lead do hosting duties.
The Bachelor Season 5 lead Jesse Palmer is taking on hosting duties for the new season. Now all eyes are on when the season will air.
The Bachelor Season 26 is not coming in 2021
There is some bad news. We won’t see the new season arrive in 2021. The Bachelor Season 26 will premiere in early 2022. We’re looking at around January 2022, matching the premiere of Season 25 of the series.
The season is filming right now, and there won’t be enough time to get through filming and post-production before the end of the year. Plus, next month sees the premiere of The Bachelorette Season 18. Remember that we have two seasons of The Bachelorette running back-to-back linked to the controversy of the 25th season of the flagship series. It’s not been quite back-to-back with Bachelor in Paradise airing new episodes.
Kicking things off in the winter of 2022 makes a lot of sense. This continues the cycle of new seasons airing throughout the year, with The Bachelorette Season 19 (we’re sure it’s happening) airing sometime in spring or early summer of 2022.
The Bachelor Season 26 is coming in early 2022. The Bachelorette Season 18 will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 19 with episodes on Hulu the following day.
