Fear the Walking Dead is back for its seventh season and the fallout from the nuclear missiles has created a harsh, hostile landscape for the survivors. While the walkers remain an omnipresent threat, now the very air can kill you. In this exclusive clip from Fear the Walking Dead season 7 episode 1, “The Beacon.”
In the clip, a man is surrounded by walkers on a dark night. He’s surrounded and it doesn’t look good for him, but then Victor Strand arrives with a sword and a knife and he starts taking out the walkers with ease.
When a walker gets close to Strand, the other man shoots it. But who is he? And who is the “her” to which they are referring?

Based on how they’re dressed, they’re both decked out to be in the wasteland but they seem to be in a safe spot for now. Well, relatively safe. We can’t forget the walkers, and fighting walkers by lamplight is not an easy thing to do.
This clip offers a glimpse of what Strand is up to in the post-fallout world and it looks like he’s found a way to survive. He’s got a badass sword and he looks amazing wielding it. Colman Domingo is clearly in his element because even in the midst of battle he’s graceful and efficient.
Thanks to the teasers and trailers, fans know that a battle is brewing between Strand and Morgan. Both men have their own ideologies and Strand’s Darwinian philosophy of “only the strong survive” seems to be at the forefront because Strand isn’t holding anything back anymore. That much was clear in the season 6 finale as he watched the world burn.
