Is FBI: Most Wanted new tonight on CBS? (Tuesday, October 19, 2021)

For the past four weeks, FBI: Most Wanted has been airing new episodes each Tuesday night beginning with its season premiere on Sept. 21. It’s been a welcome change from last season which saw the show airing its episodes at a much more unpredictable rate.

Unfortunately, that streak is about to come to an end this evening. As first hinted at last week when there was no promo teasing the next episode of the season, FBI: Most Wanted will not be airing a new episode this Tuesday night.

Instead, CBS will be re-airing the FBI three-part crossover event that kicked off the season which will mean rebroadcasting the season 3 premiere, “Exposed.”

Why isn’t FBI: Most Wanted new tonight on CBS?

It appears FBI: Most Wanted is taking the week off simply due to a scheduling decision made by CBS, likely due to the need to space out episodes.

Traditionally, the fall broadcast series debut in September and conclude in May. In order for the shows to make it to this mark, the occasional break is needed to help space out the episodes across the span of the months. While these typically come around the holidays, networks such as CBS have been known to schedule some random breaks during the season and this seems to be one of those instances.

When does FBI: Most Wanted return?

While there will not be a new episode of season 3 airing tonight, the good news is that FBI: Most Wanted will be returning in two weeks’ time with CBS planning to air the next new episode of season 4 on Tuesday, Nov. 2.
