TGIT is here, but are all the usual suspects? After a week off, we need more Station 19 Season 5, but there’s still a bit of a wait on our hands.
Sadly, there isn’t a new episode of Station 19 on tonight. Just like we mentioned during last week’s post, there isn’t going to be a new episode until Thursday, Nov. 11.
There’s a rerun, though, right? That’s where there’s more bad news. TGIT doesn’t have its usual lineup at all. Instead of a rerun of the firefighter drama, we’ll get a special. Stars are coming together with a Queen singalong. After that, there will be two reruns of Queens, the new drama on ABC.
Why is Station 19 not new tonight?
What’s with the break? This is potentially linked to the pandemic. Episodes take longer to film at the moment than normal due to the pandemic protocols. It’s possible that some future episodes aren’t ready, so ABC is opting for a break instead of an unpredictable schedule.
The new episode will air on Thursday, Nov. 11. It’s a two-hour crossover event with Grey’s Anatomy, and there’s a chance that we’ll be losing one of our favorite characters. Someone isn’t going to make it out alive at the end of the crossover, and we’re hoping that the promo suggesting it’s Ben Warren is just to make us scared into watching.
There will be another break coming up. We’ll have a break on Thanksgiving as ABC knows now to put new episodes of shows on that night. People are spending time with families. That’s on Thursday, Nov. 25, and then we’ll be back with a few episodes before the winter break.
It is looking like the winter will have a longer break, similar to last season. This worked out well to prevent the on-off schedule that the likes of CBS and NBC had.
Station 19 will air a new episode on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 8/7c on ABC. Catch up on the season via Hulu.
Is Station 19 on tonight, Thursday, Nov. 4?
