Calling all Dexter fans! One of the most iconic television characters is coming back in just a few short days and fans cannot wait to find out what he’s been up to these past few years. The finale of the Showtime series ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, and with no new episodes planned, it left fans feeling like they got no closure.
Then last year, it was announced that Dexter would be getting a revival for a new show titled Dexter: New Blood. The new series takes place 10 years after the events of the season 8 finale and brings back Golden Globe winner Michael C. Hall in the leading role. Fans were also excited to hear Jennifer Carpenter would be back as well somehow, reprising her role as Dexter’s late sister Debra Morgan.
It’s been eight years since Dexter was on air and fans might be a bit confused as to where they can watch New Blood. The drama used to stream on Netflix, however Showtime took back the rights soon after the revival was announced. Now, the network is the exclusive home to Dexter and Dexter: New Blood.
There is, however, a little bit of a workaround if you aren’t a Showtime subscriber.
Can you watch Dexter: New Blood on Hulu?
Fortunately, you can watch Dexter and Dexter: New Blood on Hulu — but you’ll need the Showtime add-on. Hulu is offering a free week trial for the add-on, but after that, you’ll have to pay for it. You can also add Showtime to your Amazon Prime Video account, which is offering a free week trial as well.
Depending on how long you want to access Showtime, however, you might be better off signing up for their service, as they offer a 30-day free trial.
The good news is there are a few options to catch Dexter: New Blood, but it won’t be with a basic subscription to Hulu, unfortunately.
The premiere episode airs this Sunday, Nov. 7 at 9:00 p.m. Be sure not to miss our coverage of the exciting revival.
