A new Monday brought plenty of new episodes of our favorite TV shows. How did they fare in the live TV ratings? Let’s take a look at the ratings for Monday, Nov. 22.
Not all networks aired new episodes of their shows. CBS and FOX had reruns and specials. It is worth noting that the NCIS reruns used to win Tuesday nights in the audience—or at least gave the other shows a good run for their money. That’s not happening on Mondays now.
It could be linked to the change of the timeslot, which means Monday Night Football affects things. It could also be just the fact that people are interested in other TV shows.
4400 up, The Voice down in the live TV ratings
It certainly looks like the latter. The CW had a great night in the live TV ratings with two networks opting for reruns. All American was up 38% in the audience and steady in the demo. Meanwhile, 4400 was up 11% in the demo and 39% in the audience.
There’s simply no doubt in my mind that both of these shows will be renewed. They remain two of the top performers on the network.
ABC also had a good night. The Dancing with the Stars finale unexpectedly saw ticks up in the metrics. The demo was the highest of the night after an almost 12% upward tick. The 12% upward tick in the live audience put it in second place.
The upward ticks continued with The Good Doctor. It was up 5% in the demo and 10% in the audience to win the timeslot in both. It was also third of the night in the audience.
We’ll see Dancing with the Stars renewed. I continue to stand by The Good Doctor being renewed as long as Freddie Highmore sticks with the show. If he decides it’s time to move on, then we’ll see the series come to an end.
NBC had a mixed night. It was the only network with a show that dipped. The Voice lost 19% in the demo but was still in second place, and lost 6% in the audience. The audience was still the top of the night. There’s just no doubt the show is going to be renewed.
Ordinary Joe was up. I’m still on the fence about a second season, but I’m hoping for it. The problem is the 7% increase in the audience was still behind the numbers for NCIS: Hawaii‘s rerun!
