After a lot of delays and confusion about when (and where) the highly anticipated movie Hotel Transylvania 4 will premiere, it finally arrives on Jan. 14, 2022. But will it stream on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video? Is it going to theaters? Here’s everything we know about the animated movie.
The movie was supposed to premiere in September 2021, but due to pandemic concerns, it was pushed to Oct. 1, 2021, and set for a theater as well as streaming release on Amazon Prime Video. Unfortunately, negotiations with the platform were never completed in time.
Hotel Transylvania 4 should have premiered around Halloween time, if you ask me. But that wasn’t the case. It also didn’t arrive as a Christmas present for fans. Instead, the movie will be one of the first out of the gate in the year 2022.

As noted above, the fourth movie in the franchise will premiere on Jan. 14, 2022.
Where is Hotel Transylvania 4 streaming?
Unlike most movies these days, Hotel Transylvania 4 is not going to theaters. Instead, it’ll debut straight to a streaming service. The movie will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video only, beginning on Jan. 14, 2022. Again, this movie will not be showing in theaters. Do you have a Prime Video subscription or will you be signing up in time for the release?
Will you be watching the movie at home with the family? Watching the movie in theaters would have been nice, but now we save some money on movie tickets and snacks!
As far as we know, the movie will not be streaming on Netflix or any other streaming platform. Amazon Prime Video will be its home for a long while before it becomes available anywhere else.
