Every streaming platform is killing it! The end of the year brought fans some amazing content, both in shows and movies, to each streaming service. HBO Max is still the favorite when it comes to film features, and Apple TV+ continues to be known for its unique stories and stunning performances. Peacock is quickly climbing the popularity ladder, while Paramount+ is still finding its place in the streaming wars. Where does this leave Netflix? The king of variety.

Netflix offers subscribers a little bit of everything. It has horror movies and shows for days, romantic comedies, plenty of reality TV drama, and everything in between. But as of Jan. 5, 2022, what is the most-watched series?

At the time of this writing, Cobra Kai is No. 1 on Netflix so it is the most-watched show at the moment. The series is on its fourth season and released new episodes on the streaming platform on Dec. 31, 2021, so they are all still fresh and new. I can see Cobra Kai staying at the top for a couple more days. If you haven’t been watching, you may want to catch up this weekend.

After Cobra Kai, there’s the psychological drama Stay Close, which I’ve been spotting on the Top 10 for a few days now. The Witcher is No. 3 and Don’t Look Up is No. 4. Finishing off the Top 10 are: Queer Eye, Journey 2, Emily in Paris, The Lost Daughter, The Longest Yard, and Dark Shadows. So you’ll see there’s a fun mix of older movies just now being discovered or being rewatched now that they are available on a streaming platform, and new shows.
