We are only weeks away from the arrival of another season of The Masked Singer! Needless to say, we’re super excited and there is already speculation about who will be under the masks. However, fans are upset about one rumored contestant. Is politician Rudy Giuliani going to appear in The Masked Singer season 7?
According to an exclusive report coming in from Deadline, Rudy Giuliani was unmasked in last week’s taping of the first season 7 episode. And, let’s just say, some of the judges were so upset to see Giuliani, that they walked out.
The report shares that Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke “quickly” left the stage in protest, shocked to see Giuliani there and wanting nothing to do with it. Judges Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger stayed, but did banter with Giuliani.
Is Rudy Giuliani a The Masked Singer season 7 contestant?
Deadline is a very reputable source, so I don’t see why this rumor would be false. Deadline also shares that FOX did has not commented on this yet.
The Masked Singer is a show audiences from both sides of the fence watch for fun and to escape the daily routine. FOX should have learned to leave politics out of the show when having Sarah Palin on proved not to be a wise move. The show should just leave politics out of it!
However, Deadline also reports that the theme of the new season is “The Good, The Bad, and The Cuddly,” so I can see why they would have the controversial politician on, but still! Maybe politics and The Masked Singers shouldn’t mix. What are your thoughts?
Supposedly, Jeong and Thicke did eventually return to the stage. We are not sure how things will end up happening. Will they keep Rudy Giuliani on or remove the episode? If it’s the former, this is going to be one explosive season premiere! As soon as we learn more, we’ll update you.
The Masked Singer season 7 premieres on FOX on March 9, 2022.
