It’s time to delve into the word of pediatric care on the new episode of The Resident. We’ll get a chance to see Conrad and Cade working together again.
In this episode, they deal with a child who is potentially being abused. The two doctors need to get to the bottom of it, while also treating all the injuries that she does have.
I get a sense that this is going to bring up some sort of backstory for Cade. So far, we just know that she’s not making an effort to get to know her colleagues. She has no search history, but I’m wondering if this is linked to some sort of abuse and witness protection storyline.

Meanwhile, we’ll get to know a little bit more about Billie. So far, we know that Trevor is her son, but he is a product of rape. Only Raptor knows the truth, and he has kept that story a secret. It’s not his to share, and he respects everything Billie has had to face and the difficult choices she had to make when she was just a child herself.
Her past is going to come up, though. She has to face is in some sort of way tonight, but does that mean her rapist is going to show up?
Is it possible that Trevor is going to find out the truth about who his father is? That’s going to be difficult for him to accept and process.

When a lost child is brought into the ER with physical signs of abuse, Conrad and Cade try to get to the bottom of what happened to her. While out shopping, Devon and Leela encounter a woman who is having trouble breathing, and when she arrives at the hospital, Devon takes it upon himself to make sure she feels comfortable with the staff. Meanwhile, Bell eyes an open seat on the State Medical Board and Billie decides it’s time to confront her past.
