A lot happened in the previous episode of 4400 and we have questions. Is a new episode going to air tonight, Monday, Feb. 21?
There’s no doubt that we need answers after that major cliffhanger at the end of the previous episode. We finally found out what had happened to Manny, only to find out that there was a major problem with the time-traveling tower.
The bad news is we’re not getting answers to our burning questions for some time. 4400 is not going to air a new episode tonight, and there isn’t going to be a new episode for at least a few months. That is if we do get new episodes.
Why isn’t a new episode of 4400 on tonight?
The lack of new episode is simply because the previous one was the 4400 Season 1 finale. That’s the reason for the cliffhanger. This is a series that needs a second season to bring us the answers, and the cliffhanger is there to keep us interested.
Instead, The CW is bringing back All American to start the night and then running into episodes of the new spin-off All American: Homecoming.
When will new episodes of 4400 return?
We don’t have a Season 2 renewal just yet. That’s something the creators and the network will be discussing. It looked like a renewal was a sure thing at the start of the season, but the network is facing some financial trouble and ViacomCBS is looking to sell it. That’s probably the reason for the lack of multiple-show renewals right now.
However, the ratings started off strong and has slowly dropped. This could be linked to the winter break and the lack of All American lead-in when the show did return. The CW has been a stronger supporter of the show, but there’s no indication either way as to whether it’s going to be renewed or not.
4400 is currently available to stream on The CW App.
