All American: Homecoming made its premiere on The CW Monday, Feb. 21. The spin-off series set in Atlanta drops viewers into Simone Hicks’ college years at Bringston University. Fans of the show’s parent series know her as the outspoken, intelligent, and fiercely loyal young woman that Jordan Baker fell in love with in All American.
Simone has had her fair share of trials from an unplanned pregnancy to making the decision to dissolve her and Jordan’s marriage in favor of continuing on as boyfriend and girlfriend. But she’s also come into her own and matured, doing what’s best for herself and, in the case of her son, what’s best for the people she loves.
This spin-off series puts her in the driver’s seat of the narrative as she climbs back up the ranks of the tennis elite and adjusts to college life in a new city. However, it’s understandable that fans of All American are curious about whether or not its lead, Spencer James, is also in All American: Homecoming.

As of the premiere episode, “Start Over,” Spencer isn’t in All American: Homecoming. While that doesn’t mean he won’t make an appearance down the line in the show, it doesn’t seem like he’ll be doing so anytime soon.
We’re more likely to see Jordan make periodic appearances on the series since he and Simone are still in a relationship. The couple is navigating a long distance romance. As such, they’ll probably pop in and out of each other’s shows since they’re interconnected and happening in the same time period.
