If there’s one character on All American we’ve adored the development for, it’s Simone. She’s had a difficult ride for the last three and a half seasons, but she’s finally figured out what she wants to do with her life. She wants to get her focus back on her tennis future.
That’s exactly what the focus is for now. Of course, there are going to be boys and friends who get in the way. We’re expecting plenty of drama throughout All American: Homecoming. It wouldn’t be the franchise without it. We’re also expecting some important real life social movements to come up too.
What to expect on the All American: Homecoming series premiere
But let’s focus on tonight’s episode. It is the series premiere, which means we get to know the characters.
We already know Simone. She is going to be our view into the world of college. We’re heading to Bringston University, a predominately Black university to continue the focus that All American originally brought us.
We’ve already seen the college in the backdoor pilot on All American. The college was pulled into the baseball scandal, so it’s time to see how things have fared since then.
We’ll also get to meet Simone’s new friends and potential love interest. Wait, isn’t she still with Jordan? They will remain together for now, but we all know that long-distance relationships are hard. They’ll need to figure out how to make this work. Simone also needs to re-prioritize her own dreams and wants.
