We’re ready to see what’s going to happen between Shaun and Lea. Will we get to see that tonight? Is The Good Doctor back yet?
There is some bad news for tonight. ABC still won’t bring us a new episode of the medical drama.
There won’t be a rerun, either. A new episode of Promised Land will air in the last timeslot of the night. This is the last episode that will air on ABC before the series moves to Hulu to finish its run.
Why isn’t a new episode of The Good Doctor on tonight?
The Winter Olympics are over. Why is ABC still opting for Promised Land? This was the plan for the new series. It was supposed to air its full season on ABC. Then the medical drama would return sometime in the spring.
Things changed this week. However, it looks like the change came too late for a new episode of The Good Doctor to air, and this could be linked to the pandemic and some filming delays, especially with the original plan being to return in the spring.
When will new episodes of The Good Doctor return?
We have some great news. Originally, there wasn’t supposed to be a new episode of the series in February, but ABC has changed its mind. Promised Land isn’t performing that well in the live ratings, so it’s finishing its run on Hulu. That leaves the Monday slot open.
The Good Doctor will return on Monday, Feb. 28. Yes, that is next Monday.
We even get a look at what to expect. Shaun doesn’t want to marry Lea, feeling like she is settling for him and not that she loves him. It’s going to take some time for him to see that Lea wants to be with him for him and not because she’s settling.
Then there’s the issue with Salen. Multiple doctors have realized they need to stand up to her, and the time has come. This could lead to a few people being fired, though. Things are certainly heating up this season.
The Good Doctor returns on Monday, Feb. 28 at 10/9c on ABC. Catch up on the season via Hulu.
