Stranger Things season 4 is definitely the show everyone is waiting for. It’s been almost three years since season 3 dropped on Netflix. The last time we saw the Upside Down and all its frights was July 2019.
The fourth season was officially ordered by the streaming service in September 2019. So we’ve known for a very long time that it was happening. Season 4 will have a total of nine episodes, and is split into two parts.
We initially thought the new season would premiere in the spring since the trailer told us season 4 will take place during spring break. But, we’ll have to wait just a little longer to watch all the supernatural drama to unfold. Stranger Things season 4 part 1 is not coming to Netflix in March 2022, but we do have a release date.
Stranger Things season 4 release date
The first part of Stranger Things season 4 will be dropping on Netflix on Friday, May 27. That Monday will be Memorial Day, so the holiday weekend will give all us binge-watchers plenty of time to go through the first half of the season.
Since season 4 consists of nine episodes, Netflix didn’t say how many episodes we’re going to get in the first part. But since it’s split, either four or five episodes will be released. I’m hoping we get more rather than less! I’m sure wherever the cut off is, it’s going to be on a good cliffhanger. The Duffer Brothers know how to perfect those.
The good news is we also won’t have to wait too long for Stranger Things season 4 part 2. We have a release date for that as well! The second half of the season will drop July 1. Once again, that’s the Friday of a holiday weekend. That’s lots of time to zip through the last remaining episodes, as well as go back and rewatch the season from the beginning!
It’s been a very long time since we’ve seen our friends from Hawkins on our screens, but we all know it’s definitely going to be worth the wait!
