If you loved The Big Bang Theory then I’m sure you’re also a big fan of its prequel, Young Sheldon. In both the original and prequel sitcom series, Sheldon is the most peculiar character. But don’t worry. His mother had him tested.
We also learned a lot of tidbits about the brilliant physicist’s childhood throughout The Big Bang Theory‘s 12-season run. With Young Sheldon, it’s nice to actually see the events play out instead of just hearing about them.
Sometimes prequels or sequels don’t work because it’s a different cast. But that’s definitely not the case for Young Sheldon. I still feel invested in the story, and a big reason for that is because Jim Parsons narrates the episodes. There’s also been some fun voice cameos for The Big Bang Theory fans!
Young Sheldon is currently on its fifth season. The latest episode was on the air two weeks ago, March 10. So is there going to be a new episode tonight?
Is there a new episode of Young Sheldon on tonight?
We’ve already waited an extra week between episodes, and that’s the case once again. There is no new episode of Young Sheldon on tonight, March 24.
The show won’t be coming back on until March 31. The reason we haven’t been getting new episodes of Young Sheldon is because of March Madness. But be patient, we just have one more week to go!
When the series does return, it marks a very special milestone. Young Sheldon will hit its 100th episode with season 5 episode 17, “A Solo Peanut, a Social Butterfly and the Truth!” Definitely need to tune into this one.

Sheldon gets an odd request from an old friend, Paige. Also, George Sr. and Mary are caught in the middle of Meemaw and Dale’s breakup, and Georgie comes clean to Mandy.
In episode 16, we were left with a bit of a cliffhanger when it comes to Connie and Dale. Meemaw is not ready to slow down in life, but Dale is the opposite. When he realizes this, Dale breaks up wit her.
He’s alright, but I much preferred Connie and John Sturgis as a couple. I’ve been waiting for the show to bring them back together and I hope it’s going to happen now! For George, it seems like he could be replaces as football coach at the high school. Which is just ridiculous. Those childish parents. Since Sheldon’s college doesn’t have a football team anymore, his next best bet is working at Dale’s store.
