Lust is a new HBO Max drama that premiered in mid-March, but it has fallen under the radar of many HBO Max subscribers. What is Lust about, who stars in the Swedish series, and should you be watching or skipping it? Here’s everything we know!
With the world of entertainment being taken over by streaming platforms, it’s easy to miss a good series (or film) on streaming. But that’s why we’re here! If this is the first time you’re learning about Lust, we’re not surprised. The Swedish drama series premiered on the platform on March 18, but bigger, more popular shows have been getting all of the attention. That said, if you are searching for something new to stream, a hidden gem, if you will, Lust is the show to check out.
What is Lust about?
Lust follows Anette, a public health researcher who is leading a study called “Sex is a Highway to Health,” which is pretty self-explanatory. Audiences will see Anette and her closest friends questioning and analyzing their own sex lives, studying their views on sex, careers, kids, marriage, and everything in between! HBO Max describes Lust as an “outrageous and painfully honest comedy,” and honestly, we’re all about it!
The series also tackles the subject of how women are made to feel as if they have to keep fit and young, while men don’t have these expectations. Lust stars Sofia Helin, Anja Lundqvist, Julia Dufvenius, and Elin Klinga.
The drama series consists of eight episodes, all of which are already streaming on the HBO Max platform. So if you were searching for a long binge to spread over the week or save for the weekend, you have found it with Lust.
