Is Maggie leaving FBI? That’s the question on every fan’s mind after the promo for the latest episode found her character in grave danger.
In FBI season 4, episode 18, “Fear Nothing,” the team discovers that deadly sarin gas may have been sold to a group of terrorists which sends them into high alert as they work to track down the deadly gas before it can be used.
Based on the promo for the new episode, they seem to be successful in tracking down the gas. However, when Maggie confronts the suspect, things take a grave turn when one of the canisters rolls off a table and breaks open. While Maggie tries to escape, the lab door locks before she is able to make it out leading to an emotional exchange between her and OA in which she tearfully pleads for him to find a way to get her out.
Is Missy Peregrym leaving FBI?
The emotional promo for FBI season 4, episode 18 has led many to ask if we could soon see Maggie leaving FBI and whether the episode might be Missy Peregrym’s last episode of the series. So is Missy Peregrym about to leave behind the role of Special Agent Maggie Bell?
Although the promo for episode 18 finds Maggie in a deadly situation, there have been no announcements from CBS or Peregrym announcing her departure from the show. While it is possible the show could surprise fans by killing Maggie off unexpectedly, we have to imagine if Peregrym was to leave the show CBS would release the news ahead of time similar to what we saw when Julian McMahon stepped away from FBI: Most Wanted.
What is most likely to happen is that CBS will use the episode as a way to introduce a storyline that will sideline Maggie for a few episodes to accommodate the real-life pregnancy of Peregrym, who announced she was expecting her second child in a sweet Instagram post on Feb. 6, 2022.
We’ll have to wait to see what exactly the FBI writers have planned when episode 18 airs, but at this time there does not seem to be any reason for concern regarding Peregrym’s future with FBI!
FBI airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS, and episodes are available to stream on Paramount Plus the next day they air.
