A new month has arrived and our first weekend kicks off with a massive bang in theaters. Below, we share the best new movies to watch in theaters and films available on streaming services that you won’t want to miss.
A Friday night is always the perfect time to catch the latest movie in theaters or on streaming platforms. Of course, we know the first battle is finding out what you want to eat, but here at Hidden Remote we want to make it easy for you to find out what new movies to watch every weekend.
New movies in theaters and streaming this weekend (May 6)
Since the Sony/Marvel combination of Spider-Man: No Way Home, we have our first Marvel movie to hit theaters in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I am intrigued by what possibilities we have going on within this film, where they will go, and who we might see in this film. I didn’t love the first Doctor Strange movie, but sprinkling in some of our other favorite Marvel characters could elevate this one to new heights.
We have a couple of films that should be pretty good on the streaming side of things. First, we have Sofia Alvarez (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) adapting another book in Along for the Ride. The movie stars Emma Pasarow and Belmont Cameli in the lead roles about a girl preparing for college when she meets a boy who helps her explore life before heading off.
Next, for the families, we have Marmaduke, which is about a legendary dog trainer who believes he can help Marmaduke become the first Great Dane in history to win the Westminster trophy. Pete Davidson voices Marmaduke.
