May is usually the time of year for a new season of The Bachelorette. That’s not happening this year. The Bachelorette Season 19 is coming soon, though.
Before COVID, we would see a new season of The Bachelorette every May. The seasons would then run through to July or August and lead into new episodes of Bachelor in Paradise. During COVID, things had to change. The Bachelorette moved to the fall, pushing the parent series to January.
Then in 2021, we got two seasons of The Bachelorette back-to-back. Would the series eventually return back to May? That’s not going to happen this year.
We won’t see The Bachelorette Season 19 premiere on ABC in May 2022. That’s not that surprising considering the flagship series only wrapped up in March so there wouldn’t be time to film the episodes. However, there isn’t much longer left to wait for the new season.
When will The Bachelorette Season 19 premiere on ABC?
The new season does have a premiere date. We’ll see the drama kick off on Monday, July 11. Episodes will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and each episode will be at least two hours as usual.
There is a big change to the format this season. We’re not just going to see one lead, but two! This is something Michelle feared would happen last year, and she admitted that she wouldn’t have been happy with that. So, how will our two leads feel this time?
Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia are the two leads. They were both final girls in Clayton Echard’s season, a season that ended with him proposing to nobody. That really felt like a waste of a season.
The two women will have to choose between the same group of men. Just how will things work if they want to go on a date with the same guy? Surely this is what the producers want to see happen because then it means more drama.
