Just as Cade quits Chastain, she’s pulled in as a patient in The Resident Season 5, Episode 21. Watch live to find out if she survives or not.
During the previous episode, there was a lot of focus on the medicare fraud. Terry was the break in the case needed, but it was quickly clear that Cade had something to do with the whole situation. We’ve known she’s been involved in some sort of way for a while, and the full story still isn’t out.
What we do know is that Cade doesn’t want to stay in Georgia. She quits her job and just drives off. Now if only she could stay away.
Cade is shot in The Resident Season 5, Episode 21
The promo makes it clear that Cade isn’t going to get away from Chastain. There’s a shooting as she drives away from the hospital, and she ends up being one of the victims. It’s going to be up to the doctors and nurses of Chastain to save her life.
Because of the shooting, the entire ER is put on lockdown. This is going to have a huge knock-on effect for patients, but the doctors will be far too concerned with Cade and the threat outside.
Meanwhile, Devon and The Raptor will need to deal with a transplant complication. A patient is being denied the transplant due to his vaccination status. This is a storyline that is sure to anger a lot of people, and it’s going to be interesting to see the reasoning behind this, as we’re sure it’s to do with COVID and not the many other vaccinations people have chosen not to get.

When one of the doctors is shot outside the hospital, the ER is put into lockdown and the team races to save one of their own.
