No shade intended here, but, unlike the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the DC movies are all over the place. From multiple reboots, recasting, plot holes, and wondering if it’s canon or not, you never know what to expect from a DC movie. For now, let’s focus on the Batman movies. If you want to dive into these, we’re here to help! From DC, Batman is my favorite hero and I have loved all of his movies (yes, I even enjoyed Batfleck). But is there an order to these movies or can you start anywhere? Let’s break it down!
It’s hard to believe that the Caped Crusader has been around since the early 1940’s, where he was portrayed by the late Lewis Wilson. By 1966, the hero got a reboot, this time with Adam West as Bruce Wayne. The movies you likely remember, are the ones starring Michael Keaton as Batman in Batman and Batman Returns. Unfortunately, Keaton didn’t stick around to finish the trilogy and was replaced by Val Kilmer.
Fans also may remember George Clooney’s Batman & Robin. But one of the most popular actors to take on the role, is Christian Bale, no question. The trilogy is flawless, in my humble opinion, and I didn’t know how Robert Pattinson was going to top it in The Batman.
