Is Legacies cancelled or is Legacies season 5 happening? It’s the burning question on the minds of fans after The CW cancelled a handful of its hit series.
Following the cancellations of Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow, we quickly realized this was about to be an unprecedented season for The CW. While in past years The CW has been one of the most generous networks in handing out renewals, the pending sale of the network has created a lot of questions among fans regarding the futures of their favorite shows with the cancellations of the veteran Arrowverse dramas showcasing just how real things were about to get.
Then came May 12.
Across the afternoon, The CW cancelled a total of six additional series with only one lucky show getting a renewal amid the bloodbath. Was Legacies that lucky season or was it one of the unlucky six shows to get their walking papers? s
Is Legacies cancelled?
As of May 12, Legacies has not been cancelled by The CW and remains in contention for renewal. While the network cancelled a handful of veteran dramas, Legacies remains on the bubble as the network mulls the show’s future.
Is Legacies season 5 happening?
At this time, The CW has not confirmed its plans for Legacies but the odds are looking favorable for the show. The series was the only series left on the bubble following the network’s wave of cancellations which seems to suggest the network is working on a deal to make a fifth season happen.
Once we know for sure if the series will return, we’ll update this post but we’re feeling optimistic about the show’s fate at the moment.
