Monday nights are usually all about one of our favorite medical dramas, The Good Doctor. What’s going on with the schedule tonight, Monday, Nov. 8?
There is a little bit of bad news. There isn’t a new episode of The Good Doctor on tonight. This was something the promo for the new episode warned us about. It made it clear the show would be back in two weeks.
However, this doesn’t mean you’ll be completely without your favorite medical drama. There is at least a rerun of the series tonight.
Why isn’t there a new episode of The Good Doctor tonight, Monday, Nov. 8?
What’s with the delay after only just going through a one-week break in the show? This is likely linked to the pandemic. There doesn’t seem to be any other reason for the break when looking at the schedule.
The pandemic is making it difficult to keep filming on track as it used to be. Episodes take a little longer to film to keep everyone safe. Because of that, it means a break here and there in the airing schedule is needed.
The break is short, though. The new episode will air on Monday, Nov. 15. We’ll get a chance to see Shaun and Park struggle with what to do next. A patient comes in as a match to Park’s patient who needs a heart transplant. Park wants to see the heart get donated, but Shaun is determined to save his patient.
I get where Park is coming from, but Shaun is right in trying to keep his patient alive. Only the DNR would override that, and it doesn’t look like there’s one of them. Allowing a patient to die for the sake of another patient would be wrong, and Shaun makes it clear that he will report Park if there is any more pressure.
The Good Doctor returns with an all-new episode on Monday, Nov. 8 at 10/9c. Watch the following day on Hulu.
