CW shows delayed until 2022

The CW shows set to make their season premieres in the fall are almost here. October will kick off the fall 2021 TV season on the network starting with Penn & Teller: Fool Us on the first of the month before the scripted drama Nancy Drew returns for its third season on Friday, October 8 at 9 p.m. ET.

It’s an exciting time for CW fans as the network’s fall line-up has been restored. However, we also have our eyes set on the future, 2022 to be exact.

The channel’s midseason boasts a couple of fan favorites like Stargirl and Superman & Lois not to mention the addition of the spin-off series All American: Homecoming which is a college drama, a subgenre of teen/young adult focused television that’s rarely seen.

What else is coming to The CW in 2022? Here’s what we know!

All American: Homecoming

This spin-off series will take viewers to Bringston University, a campus All American fans were introduced to in season 3. Centered on Simone, a tennis athlete coming into her own after years away from the sport, and baseball star Damon, the show will navigate the high stakes of their respective sports and the characters’ first steps into adulthood somewhat away from the watchful eyes of their parents.

Premiere date: Monday, Feb. 21 at 9 p.m. ET

Charmed season 4

Taking a page from the OG Charmed, the CW’s reboot will be dealing with a grief arc and the reveal of another Charmed One as Maggie and Mel reel from the loss of their sister, Macy. A new, mysterious foe is also beginning to rise to power forcing the sisters and the new addition to their circle to contend with the fallout.

Premiere date: Friday, March 11 at 8 p.m. ET

DC’s Stargirl season 3

An official synopsis has yet to be released for Stargirl season 3. We’ll keep you posted on more news.

Premiere date: Spring or summer 2022. The new season isn’t a part of The CW’s midseason schedule.

Dynasty season 5

The question of whether or not Fallon survived her showdown with Eva will be answered this December as Dynasty returns for its fifth season, taking over both All American and 4400‘s Monday timeslots once they go on their winter hiatuses.

Premiere date: Monday, Dec. 20 at 8 p.m. – 10 p.m. ET

In the Dark season 4

An official synopsis has yet to be released for In the Dark season 4. We’ll keep you posted on more news.

Premiere date: Spring or summer 2022. The new season isn’t a part of The CW’s midseason schedule.

Kung Fu season 2

An official synopsis has yet to be released for the second season, however, showrunners Christina M. Kim and Robert Berens teased the rise of Russell as a villain, one with enough institutional power and wealth to influence an entire city. He, and his family, will be a formidable for Nicky to face in season 2.

Premiere date: Wednesday, March 9 at 9 p.m. ET

NAOMI

Port Oswego is generally a quiet and small military town where not much happens. That is until a supernatural event turns everything upside down. One person affected is Naomi, a bookish teen who is used to knowing herself but when she discovers a hidden destiny, she’ll do everything in her power to get answers even if it means figuring out the multiverse.

Premiere date: Tuesday, Jan. 11 at 9 p.m. ET

Roswell, New Mexico season 4

An official synopsis has yet to be released for Roswell, New Mexico season 4. We’ll keep you posted on more news.

Superman & Lois season 2

Not much is known about the plot of the second season, however, a surprise visit from Natalie Irons is sure to shake things up for the Kent family as her arrival will have quite the impact on Lois.

Premiere date: Tuesday, Jan. 11 at 8 p.m. ET
