One of the best ways to start getting into the holiday spirit is by watching Christmas movies, and Apple TV+ offers some great holiday content. Whether you love classic and nostalgic films, family favorites, rom-coms, or action movies, there are dozens of popular Christmas movies watched year after year.
Compared to other large streaming sites like Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime Video, and Hulu, all of whom have many years worth of content available to stream, Apple TV+ is just getting started assembling a library of original television shows, non-fiction series, movies, and favorite classics.
Apple TV+ doesn’t have much Christmas content available, but what they do have on their streaming platform for the holiday is extra special. Here are three joyful specials and a new Christmas documentary you can stream this season that are full of Christmas magic.
A Charlie Brown Christmas
This Christmas special needs no explanation. The very first tv special featuring the Peanuts characters, A Charlie Brown Christmas debuted in 1965 and is still a must-watch for people of all ages. The story follows Charlie Brown as he struggles to find the meaning of Christmas and is tasked with directing the kids’ holiday play. It can be found on Apple TV+ along with many of the other Peanuts holiday specials.
Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special
Who will you call to save the day when Christmas is in danger? Mariah Carey of course! Featuring with Tiffany Haddish, Billy Eichner, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg, Jermaine Dupri, Misty Copeland, Mykal-Michelle Harris, Monroe Carey Cannon, and Moroccan Scott Cannon, this comical and entertaining holiday special is so much more than a Mariah Carey concert.
Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special was filmed and aired in 2020 in hopes of bringing holiday joy to families around the country quarantining at home. But it doesn’t need to be 2020 to find the magic in this special. We think it will be a hit for many years to come!
Who Are You, Charlie Brown?
Though this hour-long documentary doesn’t only focus on the popularity of the Christmas specials, Who Are You, Charlie Brown is a wholesome, heart-felt look into Charles Schultz and the creation of the Peanuts characters. The documentary is narrated by Lupita Nyong’o and features over a dozen celebrities who love the Peanuts comics and specials.
If you love Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Linus, Lucy and the whole gang, you will find this special on Apple TV+ to be an emotional and inspirational story. It’s absolutely a must-watch alongside your other favorite Christmas movies.
‘Twas The Fight Before Christmas, coming to Apple TV+
