Paul Thomas Anderson is back with his latest film, Licorice Pizza, which premieres in theaters on November 26.
Set the the early 1970s in the San Fernando Valley, Licorice Pizza is a coming-of-age film about a budding relationship between a teenage actor Gary Valentine, played by Cooper Hoffman, and Alana Kane, a 20-something photography assistant played by Alana Haim. This marks the film debuts for both Hoffman and Kane.
Licorice Pizza boasts a strong supporting cast led by Bradley Cooper, who plays legendary hairdresser and producer Jon Peters. Sean Penn, Benny Safdie, Tom Waits, and Maya Rudolph round out the cast.
Early reviews for the film have been very positive, calling it a charming and feel-good movie with two great debut performances for Hoffman and Haim. With the film arriving on November 26, many fans are wondering if they can purchase tickets in advance.
When can you buy tickets for Licorice Pizza?
Tickets are now on sale for Licorice Pizza, but there’s a catch. The film is only opening in two cities, New York and Los Angeles, on November 26. If you live in either of those cities, then you can purchase tickets in advance through sites like Fandango, Movie Tickets, and AMC.
Unfortunately, if you can’t make it to New York City or Los Angeles, you will have to wait until next month when the film opens nationwide on December 25. It may be a long wait, but PTA’s films are worth it!
In terms of streaming, it’s unknown when it will arrive on a streaming service. Since it’s a smaller movie, the chances of it showing up on VOD in January or February 2022 are very high.
