Adachitoka’s Noragami is a Japanese romance manga series that he wrote and illustrated. In December 2010, it began publication in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine. As of October 2021, the series has compiled into twenty-four tankobon volumes.
Noragami was aired as a 12-episode anime television series adaption from January to March 2014. Moreover, from October to December 2015,Noragami Aragoto, the second season also got broadcast.
Is Noragami available on Netflix?
Sadly, neither Noragami nor Noragami Aragoto is accessible to watch on Netflix. It is unlikely that Netflix will add the anime to its catalog since it is focusing on developing its original anime series. Although, one can watch the supernatural series on Hulu or Funimation since both seasons 1 and 2 are available on both platforms in both Japanese subs and English dubbing.
What is Noragami all about?
Hiyori Iki and Yato are two of the main characters in the anime series Noragami. Hiyori Iki was an ordinary middle school girl until she was killed in a bus accident while saving a stranger. This experience leads her spirit to leave her body. She recognizes the two parallel worlds: the Near Shore, inhabited by ordinary humans and creatures, and the Far Shore, by demons and human souls.
Furthermore, Yato is a minor god and self-proclaimed “Delivery God” who aspires to be worshipped by millions of people. His ambitions are unlikely to be accomplished as not even a single shrine was devoted to his name.
He spends his days performing odd chores for five yen each until his weapon partner tires his worthless master and abandons him. Hiyori Iki meets Yato through her soul. Yato turns out to be the strange, nameless god without a shrine whom she saved from the car accident. Hiyori insists that Yato restore her to normal, but when she learns that he’ll need a new partner to do it, she reluctantly agrees to assist him in his search.
With the help of Yato’s Regalia — a weapon forged from the soul of a deceased human and named by the deity in question – Yukine, the trio goes on a series of adventures as they battle with their relationship, identities, and pasts.
Will there be Noragami season 3?
The anime has two series directed by Koutarou Tamura and animated by Studio Bones. It’s been six years since the release of the second season still; there is no news on whether the studio or director will return for Noragami Season 3.
The series has a large fan base waiting for Noragami Season 3 Episode 1 or a sequel. Unfortunately, the third season of Noragami is unlikely to be produced. If there were any plans to make a third season of Noragami, it would have occurred by now. The prominent reason for the lack of a Noragami Season 3 is because the second season of Noragami lost a significant amount of profit compared to the first.
