There’s never a dull moment thanks to so many streaming platforms offering new series and movie almost daily. Each one has something to offer, and it’s safe to say that Apple TV+ is known for its unique series that share clever and captivating stories, and the brilliant acting in these shows. That said, if I had only seen the trailer to The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey with no details about which streaming platform it would be available on, I would immediately guess Apple TV+. Oh, and did we mention Samuel L. Jackson stars? You won’t want to miss this one!
What is The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey about?
The story is based on the novel of the same name by Walter Mosley. Ptolemy Grey (portrayed by Jackson) is a man who is quickly losing his memory and is desperately trying to hold on, insisting that there is something he needs to do before he forgets it all. Just as he begins to sink into a lonely dementia, Grey is assigned to the care of Robyn, an orphaned teen.
Together, Grey and Robyn learn about a treatment that claims to be able to restore Grey’s dementia. But not everything is forever. Let me just say, I can tell this is going to be one big tear-jerker, and I’m ready for the heartbreak.
The Last Days of Ptolemy cast
Samuel L. Jackson stars as Ptolemy Grey. He will be joined by Dominique Fishback as Robyn, and we’ll also see Cynthia Kaye McWilliams, Damon Gupton, Marsha Stephanie Blake, Walton Goggins, and Omar Miller.
