Batwoman season 3 comes to an end with “We Having Fun Yet?” This season has been somewhat procedural with half the season being devoted to the Batman trophies that have been plaguing Gotham. However, the core of the show’s third season has centered on family and the lengths we’ll go for the people we love.
That’s been the most clear with the major storylines involving Ryan’s found family with Dr. Mary Hamilton falling prey to a vine belonging to Poison Ivy and her blood family with her newly discovered biological mother, wealthy businesswoman Jada Jet, and brother Marquist Jet, Ryan’s Joker counterpart.
The drama surrounding this family affair hits the accelerator in the finale as Marquis plans to reveal Ryan’s identity as Batwoman, though he could be hiding a plan more sinister. Also, Mary is contending with an Alice who is losing more and more of herself and is in desperate need of Joker’s Joy Buzzer.
Ryan needs the device to save Marquis, but he’d rather see the world burn. In contrast, Alice is practically begging for the buzzer so she can quiet the delusions that are stealing her mind and return to being Beth, the version of herself she lost years ago.
Who will be saved? We’ll have to watch to find out but Javicia Leslie told our sister site, Bam Smack Pow, that with the way season 3 ends, she knows Ryan won’t be taking a break, so we’re expecting an explosive ending.
