Hey all you cool cats and kittens. It’s been almost two years since the world was introduced to Tiger King on Netflix. And in case that wasn’t enough, Peacock decided to create their own interpretation of the docuseries – Joe vs. Carole.
If you needed more Tiger King in your life, or like me was just curious about the series, then you may be wondering if there will be a second season. Though I personally don’t feel like we needed more Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin drama, I could tolerate the show overall.
I will say that Kate McKinnon and John Cameron Mitchell pleasantly surprised me with their portrayals of Carole and Joe. I felt like I was watching the Joe Exotic and Carole Baskin. The acting was great and the series as a whole wasn’t too bad. So I wouldn’t completely mind a season 2.
Will there be a Joe vs. Carole season 2?
As of right now, there’s no word whether there will be a Joe vs. Carole season 2. The eight-episode first season just dropped on Peacock on March 3. So it may still be too early to determine.
Another factor to consider is that the Peacock show is a limited series. That doesn’t necessarily mean there can’t be more wild adventures. Shows will usually stick to a season or two if it’s a mini series.
Something else to consider is the ratings. Rotten Tomatoes has given the show a 36% based on 25 reviews. On the flip side, it did get an 82% audience score on the review-aggregation website from 28 reviews.
I have mixed feelings about Joe vs. Carole. I definitely think they got the actors and the use of CGI tigers throughout the whole series right. But do we really need more of this real-life feud? Netflix did put out a Tiger King season 2, so only time will tell if Peacock feels like it wants to do more.
Is Joe vs. Carole renewed for season 2?
