A new series has dropped on Hulu that you need to be checking out (if you aren’t already), and that’s Amanda Seyfried’s The Dropout. If you missed the first batch of episodes, you can still catch up. Not sure when new episodes premiere on Hulu? You have come to the right place!
Why is everyone chatting about The Dropout? Fans can’t get enough! The story is based on true events, but if that doesn’t already capture your attention, we’ll share more. The Dropout follows the story of Elizabeth Holmes, a woman who started Theranos, a company that claimed to have developed blood tests that are able to give rapid results. According to several reports, these results were not accurate and the tests were not effective. Holmes and Theranos were charged with fraud.
What’s so wild about this case, is that it’s very recent. In fact, Holmes is currently facing up to 20 years in prison. Her sentencing won’t take place until September 2022. This tells us that The Dropout will likely follow Holmes’ story up until her arrest. That is, unless Hulu decides to take the story beyond what has already happened.
The Dropout episode release schedule
Right now, the first three episodes of The Dropout are available to stream. These were released on Hulu on March 3. As for the rest, they’ll premiering Thursdays at approximately 2:01 a.m. ET. Here’s the schedule as well as the episode titles:

- Episode 5 “Flower of Life,” March 17
- Episode 6 “Iron Sisters,” March 24
- Episode 7 “Heroes,” March 31
- Episode 8 “Lizzy,” April 7
The cast includes Amanda Seyfried as Elizabeth Holmes, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Michael Ironside, William H. Macy, Michel Gill, Laurie Metcalf, and more.
Hulu was clever to get into this case so quickly to be one of the first platforms to feature it as a series. There’s also a movie from Apple TV+ that will follow the case, this one will star Jennifer Lawrence.
