The countdown until the official premeire of Disney+’s Turning Red is nearly over and we can’t wait to get our hands on this amazing animated feature.
Those who were blessed to watch this film earlier than the general public showered this film with nothing but compliments, most of which can’t help but praise the movie’s accurate depiction of adolescent growing pains, its ability to both warm and break your heart, and, most importantly, for the animated movie’s inclusion of many different cultures and personalities.
Rotten Tomatoes gave Turning Red a near-perfect score of 92% which lets us know we’re certainly in for a great treat. But, before you tune in to this movie later this week, we want to tell you not just what you can expect from this 2022 release but who.

Turning Red cast
Mei (Rosalie Chiang) is a pretty confident kid who lives life to the fullest and loves to have a good time with her friends. However, her easygoing nature is threatened when she discovers she transforms into a huge red panda whenever her emotions are too intense. Her mother Ming Lee (Sandra Oh) reveals that this isn’t anything out of the ordinary as her family’s ancient history is infused with countless magical tales about red pandas. Even so, for a growing-Mei, this transformation is very much so unusual and puts into jeopardy what was supposed to be the greatest year of her life.
How will Mei deal with her strange transformation? What lessons will she learn along the way? You’ll have to tune in to find out!
