Just less than a year ago, we got to see the highly-anticipated Friends reunion special, which saw the sitcom’s main cast — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, and David Schwimmer — come together on the orange couch once again. The show was received very well with fans and critics, as the actors revealed some of their biggest secrets about Friends and dished on their favorite moments.
Of course, we all got emotional seeing the stars reunited, especially because it seemed like they had never been apart. It was obvious they all still got along super well and considered Friends to be one of the most special times in their lives.
However, a new report claims that there’s actually bad blood between two of the actors now, and we do not know what to believe!
Are Matthew Perry and Matt LeBlanc feuding?
According to OK! Magazine, Matthew Perry has beef with Matt LeBlanc and will spill all of the details in his upcoming memoir, Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing. We’ve already heard some bits and pieces as to what to expect from his book, and the general consensus is that Perry is not holding anything back.
Rumor has it Perry will come clean about their apparent feud, which reportedly stemmed from LeBlanc choosing to star in his own spinoff series, Joey, after Friends ended. A source tells the publication that the cast was angry over LeBlanc’s decision, feeling like he went behind their backs to do something for himself.
“The full story of that betrayal hasn’t been told yet, and Matthew is not going to pull any punches,” the insider says about the actor’s upcoming book. Shedding some light on their alleged feud, they also explained:
“It’s been 18 years, but the Joey thing still stings Matthew and the other cast members because it was the only time one of them went behind everybody else’s back and tried to break up the act. Matthew didn’t bring it up on the reunion last year, but he’s ready to set the record straight and isn’t going to hold back.”
Though we’re not sure how true this rumor is, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard that Perry’s book might hurt a co-star or two. A previous report claimed that Jennifer Aniston was “anxious” about the memoir as she allegedly believed Perry would spill juicy details about her marriage to Brad Pitt.
With all of these rumors swirling around, we really won’t know what’s in Perry’s book until it comes out. It’s hard to believe Perry and LeBlanc would actually be feuding, but until we have the proof, anything’s possible. Be sure to pre-order Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing before it hits bookshelves on Nov. 1, 2022 right here.
