We’re only one more day away from the theatrical debut of the historical drama film, The Northman.
Audiences across the globe have been anticipating this release ever since the trailer premiered in December 2021. Seeing Big Little Lies star Alexander Skarsgard in Viking attire captivated millions of viewers, as did seeing Ethan Hawke being slain by a menacing man. But it was the sneak peek at the film’s story that truly added to the excitement surrounding this title.

The Northman synopsis
The Northman tells the story of Prince Amleth who, as a boy, saw his father King Aurvandil War-Raven slain before his very eyes by his uncle Fjolnir. As a result, Amleth vows to not only avenge the late King but also save his mother Queen Gudrun from the hands of evil and kill his uncle.
Though Amleth has more than enough brute strength to achieve this, he’ll have to embark on a long journey before he can come face-to-face with the man who ruined his life. And, as with any journey, some grueling trials and tribulations lie ahead.
