Killing It, the new comedy series starring Craig Robinson, made it’s premiere on Peacock Thursday, April 14. The show follows Craig, a man whose dreams are crushed when his bank loan is denied. He needs 20,000 dollars in order to make a down payment on a piece of swamp land, and he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make the cash he needs.
Typically, this would be the start of a heist or comedic crime drama, but Killing It takes a different route. Instead of Craig brushing up on lock picking skills or putting together a ragtag group of wannabe thieves, he unexpectedly gets into the python killing business. His new found hustle comes from a weird ride with an Uber driver who carries a hammer on her person for python killing purposes.
It’s through her that Craig becomes aware of this lucrative industry. The state is willing to pay for pythons to be killed and there’s a 20,000 dollar reward for the person or team that brings in the most pythons. The show’s wild premise comes from the minds of those behind hit series, Brooklyn Nine Nine, it’s also executive produced by Robinson.
