Each year, holiday traditions make that time of the year feel a little bit more special. You might decorate the house with garland and miniature Santas, or bake a family treat recipe passed down through generations. But the one tradition that really gets us into the holiday spirit is also the one that’s most divisive: Christmas movies.
Whether your family watches the 24-hour marathon of A Christmas Story or Elf or Home Alone, everyone has their favorite holiday movies on rotation. Those worn VHS and DVD copies have been traded in for digital streams, but the principle is the same.
What are the best Christmas movies of all time?
Some prefer to stick to the old classics like It’s A Wonderful Life, White Christmas, The Bells of St. Mary’s and Meet Me in St. Louis, but a whole new generation has grown up with stuff like How the Grinch Stole Christmas, The Santa Clause, and A Muppet Christmas Carol.
