We’re all waiting for The Good Doctor to return to answer our burning questions. Is that going to happen tonight, Monday, Jan. 17?
There are still certainly a lot of burning questions for The Good Doctor. It didn’t return when most other shows did, and we’re looking forward to a new episode as soon as possible.
That’s not going to be tonight. There isn’t a new episode or a rerun. We’re also not looking at any new episodes for a while. As we warned, there isn’t going to be a new episode in January 2022.
Why isn’t a new episode of The Good Doctor on tonight?
The lack of new episode tonight is partly planned and likely due to the pandemic. We’re not getting a new episode at all this month, and we’re looking at spring 2022 when it will return.
Tonight specifically is linked to the football. The NFL Playoff between the Cardinals and the Rams takes place tonight on ABC.
When will The Good Doctor return with new episodes?
We’re looking at spring 2022 as a return date. We don’t even know fully when the show is going to come back. ABC will air a new series Promised Land starting next Monday in the time slot for the medical drama.
It’s possible that we will see the return sometime at the end of March 2022. We may have to wait until April. ABC will want to wrap the season in May like other fall shows, so the delayed return can’t be much later than that.
It’s a series we’re keeping an eye on. After all, we need to see what’s coming next too. Will Lea and Shaun get married, or will we see the end of their relationship when the show returns?
The Good Doctor is available to stream on Hulu to catch up on.
