Even in its early days, Apple TV+ has never been a platform to stay far behind competitors. If anything, the platform is one of the most popular streaming services today. Its reputation of being home to some of the best content continues with The Crowded Room, an upcoming anthology series starring Tom Holland and Amanda Seyfried. What is it about and when is it coming to the streaming platform? We have all the details you need to know, here!
Known for content that is cleverly written and featuring a star-studded cast, Apple TV+ may have another winner here with The Crowded Room. The upcoming series is written and executive-produced by Oscar winner Akiva Goldsman. Here’s everything we know so far.
What is The Crowded Room about?
The anthology series will consist of inspirational stories, focusing on people who struggle with mental illness. These stories are meant to motivate as the people the series will focus on have learned to successfully live with their mental illness. The Crowded Room is partially based on Goldsman’s life and inspired by Daniel Keyes’ biography, The Minds of Billy Milligan, Deadline reports.
The Crowded Room does not have a set release date yet, but we do know the season will include 10 episodes. As for the cast, it’s a bright one!
First, we have Emmy Rossum, who you may recognize from Shameless. The actress will star opposite Tom Holland (Spider-Man) and Amanda Seyfried. Holland has sure been keeping busy! In addition to The Crowded Room, the Marvel star also recently starred in Uncharted. Amanda Seyfried can also soon be seen in Hulu’s The Dropout and Birdwatching.
