It’s something every fan dreads. You never want to hear that there’s a possibility your favorite actor or actress has decided to call it quits. At times the news is a rumor, and sometimes it’s true. Is Sandra Bullock quitting acting?
Sandra Bullock has been gracing the big screen for years. Her breakthrough came in 1994 when she starred in the smash-hit film Speed with Keanu Reeves. Definitely one of my favorite movies! From Miss Congeniality, The Blind Side, to Bird Box. The 57-year-old talented actress has done nothing but nail every role she’s played over the years.
Her latest film is The Lost City in which she stars in with Daniel Radcliffe, Channing Tatum, and Brad Pitt. Talk about a stellar cast! The Paramount Pictures produced movie will hit theaters on March 25.
During promotion for The Lost City, the lovely actress shared some interesting news about her future career goals, and what’s next in her personal life.
Is Sandra Bullock quitting acting?
Sandra Bullock is not quitting acting. I know, phew! But, she did reveal that she’s going to be taking a step back. The movie star told Entertainment Tonight she’s going to take a break from her career to spend more time with her kids.
Bullock has two children, Louis who is 12 years old and Laila who is 10. She also told ET that she doesn’t know how long or short this break will be.
I take my job very seriously while I’m at work and it’s a 24/7. And I just want to be 24/7 with my babies and my family.
We definitely can’t blame Bullock for wanting to take a step back. She’s been acting for years and wants to devote more time to being a mom. No one can fault her for that. As she said, acting takes up a lot of time and energy. Between filming, doing press, then moving on to the next project, there’s much to do and balance.
The same can definitely be said about being a parent. We’re going to miss seeing Bullock on the big screen, but she didn’t say she’s leaving forever. I for one will continue to hold out hope that the actress will be back one day!
