During the previous episode, Andy faced the flack for Station 23 closing. Sure, the other firefighters are angry, but it wasn’t Andy’s fault. Yet, they needed someone to blame.
What was out of line was leaving her alone after she’d had a few drinks. It was completely out of character for Theo, who doesn’t leave people behind even when he’s angry at them. And now it’s put Andy in a dangerous situation.
Jeremy—why are so many shows using Jeremy as the name of bad guys?—did not want to take no for an answer. Good for Andy not giving in. Kissing does not mean someone is entitled to more. Yet, Jeremy thought he was, so Andy did what she needed to do to protect herself. That’s where we pick up with the new episode.
Andy faces the consequences of her actions in Station 19 Season 5, Episode 15
Something that will anger a lot of people is what’s going to happen next. Andy has hurt Jeremy in a way that puts his life at risk. I don’t blame her for doing it, but what she did could get her into a lot of trouble. She has to face the consequences of her actions—actions that were in self-defense.
Nobody can prove that just yet. People saw them leave the bar together. They looked interested in each other, and we know that Andy has gone for one-night stands before. Are people going to start blaming her for everything? That’s the way of the world, right?
