The sophomore season of The Rising of the Shield Hero officially has an English dub version on the way, which means even more anime fans can enjoy this series very soon!
In only a couple more days, English dub-lovers will get to see what becomes of Naofumi Iwatani, the hero who pulled himself up by his bootstraps to become an individual respected by all, and his mighty team of fierce girls. Additionally, you’ll also get to see the remaining apocalyptic waves heading to the nation and what our four heroes will do to stop them.

Learning that other nations are enduring the Calamity Waves, Naofumi vows to fight. But before he can begin, word comes that the massive Spirit Tortoise is free. Left unchecked, this rampaging monster could destroy the world. He assembles companions Raphtalia and Filo and a few new allies, one of which reveals scary news—this was no accident. Someone deliberately unleashed the legendary beast!

The Rising of the Shield Hero season 2 dub release date
Mark your calendars because The Rising of the Shield Hero season 2 in English dub will officially premiere on Funimation and Crunchyroll on Wednesday, May 4 at 5:00 p.m. ET/2:00 p.m. PT.
The English dub cast is as follows:
- Erica Mendez as Raphtalia
- Brianna Knickerbocker as Filo
- Amber Lee Connors as Ost Horai
- Dawn M. Bennet as Eclair Seaetto
- Sean Chiplock as Kyo Ethnina
Last but not least, My Hero Academia voice actor Stephen Fu will voice the role of Naofumi Iwatani in this upcoming release. Most likely, there will be dubbing of more languages in the near future, so be sure to check back in to learn more.
